Anything along those lines or joining the Stormcloacks and eventually challenging Ulfric for the right to rule or any other idea to get to a position of rulership would be great. Other people have had great ideas about this, like the PC creating/joining/whatever his or her own faction and entering the civil war as a third party. I know that there is the mod Become High King, and it's nice, but I never really felt like a king.
There have been several posts about this idea, but as far as I can tell nothing has came from them.
